There isn't a door in my house that would work on it. The gap mentioned in the instruction video is not a problem. It turns out that there is not enough room under/above the door latch mechanism and hasp for the latch to engage the hole in the door gap. So I would imagine this part is useless on most residential doors. I wanted to use it for travel and on doors that might not have locks at all that might be in another house or public place. I'm not sure if this works as it should because I don't know which doors have such a large opening behind the strike plate in the door frame. I'll probably return it if I don't find a few scenarios where it works. I will probably buy another portable lock that works differently.
