Review on πŸ”§ PRILINE PETG 1KG Filament - Ensuring Dimensional Accuracy for Additive Manufacturing Products by Scott Welch

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The recommended temperatures didn't work for me

This is my second roll of Priline, I have to admit I didn't like the color. I was expecting the red to be more like the red Coca-Cola and not the bright red Charms. Another thing that stunned me was that the print settings were very different from the black priline I previously ordered. As you can see in the picture, I had a few setbacks before I got acceptable pressure. I say "acceptable" because I have better quality prints from Esun PETG and even better prints from MG Chemicals PETG (both available as Prime from Revain). The translucent nature of this PETG makes it cheap to print and doesn't hide imperfections due to the material's high specularity. Please note that I don't hate it, once you've adjusted your settings the print will be relatively smooth. Just expect a lot of dial time. If you're looking for a "candy" finish to your print, this thread is for you. I probably won't be ordering this red again, but for the price I'll most likely try Priline's black PETG again. So here are a few things I've learned. I couldn't print anything of value with the recommended settings. I had to set the extruder temperature to 255Β°C and the bed temperature to 95Β°C. I had to print slowly, no faster than 30mm/s. Coating 0.2 mm thick, speed 10 mm/s on glass lightly coated with hairspray. So far my best prints have been around 15mm/s, but man, it's like watching grass grow. increased to 0.3 mm, the quality has improved significantly. Again, I don't hate this brand, their black worked well at a layer height of 0.2mm. Pros Good price Nicely wound bobbin Interesting thread grooves Cons Cons Color is not very good Yarn is very picky Very brittle if cooled too much
