Review on Eufy Floodlight Brightness Weatherproof Compatible by Daniel Haddo

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Probably the best headlight cam that doesn't require a paid subscription.

I think this is a great headlight camera that doesn't require a paid subscription for such a price. When unpacking, I immediately noticed the weight and the quality. Very heavy compared to the $170 Fiet floodlight camera sold at Costco. Installation was easy with the bracket and screws. The light is actually pre-wired with a 3-wire cable in case there is an outlet nearby. Since the headlight is heavy, I recommend asking another person to hold the light while connecting the wires. The 2k camera resolution is great, finally you can see the license plates! Just remember that higher resolution means larger file size and required bandwidth. I actually set mine to 1080p as I found the image quality to be sufficient for my needs. The default setting is set to detect all motion, but it is recommended to set it to detect human motion only. This reduced my notifications from 80 to 20. What I found handy to embed in the video clip is a snapshot of the person I'm interested in. The range of the motion detector is almost 180. I've found that it lights up as soon as I enter from the side. The settings allow you great control over every aspect of the fixture such as brightness, activity zones, sensitivity, lighting scheduling to keep it on during set periods of time etc. All in all this light probably shows promise for the next 5-10 years if it does takes long.

Pros
  • Turn night into day: Ultra-bright, motion-activated headlights with 2500 lumens deter intruders and provide detailed color images even at night.
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok
