This design is particularly convenient as the attachment straps are separate from the knee bolster compared to previous models where the attachment strap is attached directly to the knee bolster. This keeps the pad in place instead of falling over your knee and requires you to constantly tighten the straps and tighter than you might be comfortable with. A smaller, better shaped kneecap also contributes to a better fit. If you need to get on your knees quickly, you can be sure that they really cover your knee. Pretty big plus! The padding is also sufficient to provide good cushioning and comfort. Finally, I didn't have the problem of plastic becoming brittle after just a few seasons like I had with other devices. I don't go to the field with them.
