Bought as a gift for a friend. I've never embroidered before, but I have some sewing experience. Instructions are minimal, but a couple of five-minute YouTube videos showed me how to do different stitches. It turned out great and my boyfriend loved it! If you plan on flaunting it I recommend buying a backing like felt for it.
