This is my final review of a product that might be great and might suit some but not me. The first thing you should do is insert the top red part of the jig and slide it under the bottom part of the wind-up spring mechanism until both parts of the jig align, then lock the blue latch onto the top red plastic jig. Then wind the spring until it stops spinning and this is probably the most important step because if you press on it the spring will most likely break. If it allows you to keep winding and you don't feel it stop then that's important too because you know the jig is broken and you need to follow the step in the guide of how to put the glass on your phone . . I haven't tested my mount and when it comes to installation time and the acrylic adhesive is on your glass panel you might panic and whatever your next step might be wrong and you might end up with bubbles or adhesive leaking out. If you make a mistake, Revain will not refund your money. No, not for this product, which I would like to find out about before purchasing. Watching tutorials on YouTube is great if the mount works, but almost every installation video has a working mount. When I tried to install the protective glass, nobody had a video showing how to install the protective glass with a broken winder. So I messed up my setup and tried to get a refund from Revain and found that they don't refund money for this and I think there are a lot of setups that aren't perfect. The Whitestone Dome did the right thing when they sent me a replacement and I considered selling it on eBay and buying a glass cover from a competitor who didn't use the light. But I also wanted to have protection on my phone as small scratches were showing. Second attempt to install the whitestone dome was perfect and yes the replacement kit worked. The only problem I have is that the fingerprint scanner works less than half the time for me. Sometimes I have really dry hands and the glass of the screen protector is very smooth, much smoother than the glass of the phone, and your finger will slip off, and even if you try to press down hard enough and straight without moving, stand the chances are good. The phone does not read. So use passwords or quickly lick and rub your finger, then the finger will be read. I dropped my phone in the parking lot and the glass shattered. I was overwhelmed and it was also difficult to remove the remaining glass. Use multiple business cards and wear gloves. And outside, if possible, over a big box, you don't need that, because a lot of small pieces of broken glass get stuck in the gloves, and without gloves you get pieces of broken glass. So the Whitestone Dome Glass Protector did it and took it back for the team. I hope the fingerprint scanner works this time. If it performs better I will change this rating to 5 stars.
