The main reason I bought this knife set is that the knives are arranged vertically on a block of wood. It fits perfectly in a kitchen drawer. But it's more than just form. When the product arrived I was surprised at how heavy it is, a good sign for high performance knives. The box contains a block of wood, multifunctional scissors, a knife sharpener and 12 different knives. I love the dark brown finish on the wood block and handles. You look very elegant. The block of wood is a good weight, not sure what type of wood it is, but seems like it will last a long time. A bottle opener, a crab/nut cracker and a flat head scissor screw would be good additions. I like the matte finish of the knife blades, they are easy to clean and don't leave water stains. Stainless steel knives are very durable, they practically do not bend. I have used these knives for slicing both raw and cooked meat and they are so sharp that they cut almost effortlessly. The same goes for vegetables and fruits, it can cut, peel and slice so smoothly. Storing these knives in a kitchen drawer is ideal due to the vertical orientation of the knife slots, they fit perfectly and keep the drawer tidy. Overall I like this knife set. Aesthetically very pleasing, robust stainless steel and sharp blades. If you are looking for a good set of knives, this product is a good option.
