Review on πŸ“± JOYEKY Cell Phone Holder for Car: 360Β° Rotate Magnetic Mount for iPhone, Samsung, GPS Devices & More by Marc Zitnik

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for a horizontal phone holder - better than magnets etc. Holds a huge phone!

This keeps my 7 inch Xiaomi Mi Max 3 in its case easily, although the dimensions exceed the stated specifications. In fact, the clam shell design seems so obvious that it's ridiculous that we've struggled with sliding, twisting, wobbly clamps, and dodgy magnetic mounts for so long. I used the magnetic type (meaning you have to buy a phone case with a magnetic or metal element) but the phone kept sliding or spinning. The only downside to this holder is that the base is flat. So if your dashboard is crooked there isn't much flexibility, where to position it. Before ordering one, get in your car and hold your phone horizontally across the dash to see if you can get this phone holder close enough to easily read the screen and not obstruct too much of your view (which might be that you have a really raked windshield). ). My new (used) car has a more curved dashboard than my old one, so the layout isn't perfect, but it's still good enough. It's so easy to insert and remove your phone, you'll never be tempted to leave your phone on your lap again. and whether it's obscuring too much of your view (which can be the case if you have a really raked windshield).
