As the name suggests, they are slightly wider than the factory openings on the 1st generation Toyota Sequoia. I used basic tools to enlarge the factory hole. Once you've tightened the threads, they're very tight. Overall - pretty easy to install; The hardest part (for me) was removing the factory cigarette lighter. The on/off switch is a great feature as the Sequoia has 3 or 4 outlets that don't switch. So it really breathes new life into these outlets. But my concern is how well this switch will hold up. I bought two of these and the switch in one was fogged up a bit. hope it lasts I also dig a voltmeter.
