Can't say enough about this tool it does the job perfectly. I had trouble aligning all of the knives and setting them to the same height on my 20 year old Jet 6" joint machine as the adjustment screws are rounded on the ends and tend to creep up when tightened. The solid brass blanks from which this lamp is made completely rule this out. Ditch the cheaper plastic models - people complain that they bend, leading to more trial and error. It's different with BigHorn! After 15 minutes, all three knives were level and within 0.001 inch (0.001 inch) end to end as confirmed by the dial gauge. Compare that to trying to do it by hand over a few weekends and they STILL fail. I wish I had bought this attachment before attempting to replace my knives, it would have saved me hours of time and frustration.
