I knew my air conditioner at home had a leak but couldn't find it. I didn't know if it was outside or inside, had no idea. I started this outside thinking it was the most likely leak. Nothing. No sound, no light. I checked the entire air conditioning system from the outside. Nothing. I began to suspect this device. I went in and plugged the sensor into one of the screw holes on the evaporator on the firebox. BINGO! This thing lit up like a Christmas tree. I was able to pinpoint exactly where the leak was.
