Starter still works great after 3 months. The build quality seems to be good. Fixed my slow start/hard start issues on 2002 TDI Jetta (automatic transmission). I've tried disassembling and cleaning/lubricating the existing newly installed "refurbished" Bosch starter in the car to no avail. Also tried clearing all ground connections with no improvement. This new starter did it. The car started right after installing the new starter. DB Electric Starter SBO0057 (Volkswagen Beetle 1.9L 98 99 00 01 02 03 04 06) Good Value ($56.22). I recommend it.
