Review on Totally Bamboo Branch Acacia Storage by Adam Jenkins

This bamboo salt pan looks great on its own until you really want to use it. When you open the lid, an incredibly strong and heavy burning smell escapes - this smell is so strong that it sticks to your hands. I'm confused as to how it was approved and published. It looked charred inside to give it a specific look. As a project, I bought some sandpaper to try and remove enough wood to reduce the smell, and then used baking soda and white vinegar (look for tips on how to remove the burnt wood smell). Did this several times and didn't help at all. The only reason I didn't return this is because I aggressively polished this thing to make it usable. I wouldn't put anything in there, let alone salt.
