Review on BCZAMD Dual-Textured Spring Powder by Christopher Clearfield

Film with good firm texture

Bought for my i3 for PETG printing as I didn't want to mess with glue on a slick PEI film. After I typed everything, the sheet worked perfectly and typed almost every day for 2 months. Very strong coating and good adhesion with Atomic PETG. The pieces come off easily if you let them cool for a few minutes, no glue required. When I have adhesion issues, a quick cleaning with dish soap and warm water fixes it. The steel is noticeably thinner and lighter than Prusa sheets, but it does the job well and the reduced weight is actually a bonus. The notches help the sheet fit perfectly on the hot stage, as does the Prus sheet - very impressed with it. I wish the color wasn't gold, I'll admit that was initially what attracted me to the product, but in practice I'd prefer a darker color that isn't as reflective. Ultimately, given the other strengths of the product, this is not a deciding factor. Update: I've had constant issues with poor adhesion around the edges of the sheet within about 1 inch. Deleting the leaf and increasing the points on the grid level didn't help. This was problematic as the i3 doesn't have a very large build area and this made the usable footprint even smaller. After a while I decided to get myself a real Prusa satin bed sheet to see if that would help - and it did. The BCZAMD sheet probably counteracts this here - first, it has less mass to spread the heat of the bed evenly around the edges, and more importantly, it deforms just enough to shed the first layer at the edges, especially after using it for some time. That being said, it still works fine when I limit the prints to the middle of the sheet.
