We did a lot of research to find dog hiking backpacks that were comfortable/safe and fun to walk with our dog. We wanted something breathable and with more room so he wouldn't feel uncomfortable. We wanted it to be fully enclosed but with the option of making a bubble window so it can stick its head out. This pet backpack had everything we were looking for. The quality is really excellent with PU leather. Love the extra free collapsible bonus bowl so we can carry water and treats. That's convenient. Below is a board that supports the dog. It digs into the lower back a bit, but if the straps are adjusted properly, it's not too bad. The photo was taken when our dog was in it for the first time and as you can see she is very happy with it. We took him to the vet clinic, other pet owners loved this dog backpack and wanted us to recommend and photograph him. He likes to lie completely on his bottom, sit and stand. The Bichon is only 10 months and 15 pounds but has room to grow. My husband is 6ft 2" and I am 5ft 6" and we both found it to fit our backs well.
