I've just spent the last 15 minutes making rice and potatoes with this very imperfect rice maker. On the one hand the top doesn't connect so it keeps falling apart and when you've mashed enough for a large group it's VERY frustrating. I had to stop and reassemble it every time, a BIG waste of time! It doesn't line up properly when you try to fry the rice, one side is too short compared to the rice portion so it mashes but doesn't pull the potatoes. It should fit snugly against the rice portion. It is obvious that the "designer" of this product did NOT UNDERSTAND how this product was supposed to work in the first place. BUY SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN THIS RICER! I would definitely not recommend it!
