This is a review for the U2790VQ. They are selling like hotcakes during Covid as everyone is working from home but if you wait patiently you will get one. It's probably not the best gaming monitor as it's slow, but it's spot on for office productivity and light coding. I've tried Philips and LG but this one seems to be the best for the budget. I'm using this with a 2015 MacBook Pro so the native resolution is 2560 x 1440 (QHD). The default for this is 1920 x 1080, but if you want more space I would increase it. Although it can do 4k, I usually upscale it so the font and text are clearer. The OSD is pretty rudimentary, not as good as LG or Philips, but it works. There are even multiple blue light filter modes that turn it yellowish to be easier on your eyes. The panel is based on the Panda LM270PF1L, which Philips also has. It's matte and has a hardness of 3H, so it's pretty good in terms of highlights. I've just had it on for about a day, but will be testing it for everyday use in a few months. I can get a second to get more space and a dual monitor mount. The display is quite light, about 3 kg without the stand. Frame? Pretty bad. I would say just throw it away. It's all plastic and wobbles on my sturdy desk. I understand why manuf. want to save costs and do it with an exhibition stand. It doesn't even adjust for height. It leans only 15 feet. The brightness is pretty good. There is no sound, despite the presence of speaker grilles. I think they use this packaging for another model. In any case, it doesn't matter since most monitor speakers are pretty weak - 3W or even 5W. Just plug it into something else as there is a headphone jack. The bezel is quite thin, I'd say 5mm on all sides, the bottom being the thickest. Maybe next time they'll just make the AOC icon light gray instead of silver. There are 2 HDMI, 1 DP on the back which I recommend to connect as it offers the best resolution. If you can buy it under $250. It's still worth it. I wish they had one like this in 32" but I guess that's for the future. end of the line.
