My 27 inch 4K AOC monitors are great. Color quality and brightness meet my needs for normal computer use (I don't do graphics, video, or photo editing, and I don't play games). Actually, I didn't make any changes to the picture settings. I do a lot of work in Excel and Word and the 4K resolution offers amazing detail. Gridlines and numbers in Excel and fonts in Word are remarkably precise and crisp. Working in both applications is really improving. I'm also a high school volleyball coach and watch a lot of game videos, which are also greatly enhanced in 4K (I use a GoPro 7 Black to film). I bought the monitors to replace two 24" Dell monitors from work when I retired in January. I'm running them from a new Dell XPS 13" through a CalDigit Thunderbolt 3 dock, with one running through the HDMI connector and the other running through the display port. I only use the included cradles to set up the initial connection to the dock .but the stands were very easy to attach and detach from the monitors and I kept them if I ever changed my configuration.I remember the position of the monitor on the stands was quite low, maybe only 6 "above the desk surface. Each of my monitors is mounted on a separate Huanuo swing arm that attaches to the back of my desk. I knew the 27" monitors would not fit in the side supports of my desk compartment, which is only 46, 5" wide, so I placed them in front of the compartment so the center of the screens were about eye level. With Huanuo arms, you can easily swing them down or out of the We Slide g when needed to access cage or slide one forward for close-range work. My only disappointment is that the 0.3-inch sidewalls aren't as thin as I expected from the "rimless" heading. and look at pictures on the internet. My layout is about 0.62 inches between active screen segments when perfectly aligned side-by-side. Currently I never have windows that span both screens, but I plan to use this setup for Microsoft Flight Simulator someday and I was hoping for a smoother main display. If you're not familiar with AOC, the company is a direct descendant of the old comp research institutes Admiral TV and Appliances. Growing up in the 60's, a lot of people had Admiral color TVs when color first came out. Realizing this made me feel more confident about trying these monitors and I was completely satisfied with them.
