This is a great tool to have in your toolbox. It should actually be called "Tool" as it comes in a set of two, which is very useful, especially when tying long stacks of wood, for example. If you've ever tried to compress or stitch irregular shapes, you should know that it's not always easy. This tool lets you do just that, it fits almost any shape with some caveats. The only limitation is the size of the links, around 1 inch, as the links are not flexible. This shouldn't be a problem 99% of the time, and you can move the link chain to flex where it's needed. As per the attached pictures, you can see it will clamp about 6 inches. a circle with a diameter or, for example, a rectangle measuring 6.5 x 3 inches (20 square inches). Of course you can also clamp much smaller objects. My only complaint is that the tool is a little rough on the thumbscrew, but it can take some time to get smooth. Other than that, this is a lot. Recommended.
