Holds best in a vise and pliers

These 10" Monster and Master locking clamps are incredibly strong, they can apply light or heavy pressure to what they're holding depending on how you use it Adjust screw mechanism. I used them to break up stuck bars and chain link railings. Just squeeze them together and flip them over. The quality of the clamps is excellent, I have had other products from this manufacturer and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended, an invaluable tool that is difficult to replace when needed. As aโ€ฆ

For turning or unscrewing large pipes, tubes, fittings, etc.

Need to turn or unscrew something very large? Do you have a large pipe or other item that needs to be rotated? This is the tool for you. This is a combination of a vise and a chain wrench. You grip the chain wrench as firmly as you can on the object to be tensioned with the vise open, then close the vise one last time to fully tension the chain, then twist. This is for smooth surfaces. It works like a strap wrench, only with more tightening and grip than is normally possible with a strapโ€ฆ

Another high quality tool from M&M!

This is the ideal tool for fastening cylindrical or irregular objects. It has a locking mechanism and is easy to use. While not a ratchet, it features a thumb adjustment to pull items together after the chain is engaged. All in all a great tool at a great price. And I've probably looked at at least a dozen Monster and Master instruments and can't think of one that didn't disappoint. It's no different. It's like someone at M&M is taking vulnerabilities and details from other products and thenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Some difficulties

I've used rubber band wrenches in the past but they rarely hold up well enough and eventually fail. This chain adheres strongly, but at the expense of surface damage. (A common problem I need one of these for is the chlorine dispenser lid, which is all plastic.) The reach is a bit narrow in the normal (screwed-in) position, making it a bit difficult to hook the chain. in the desired position. Of course you can loosen the set screw to widen the jaws. However, it is a bit difficult to hook theโ€ฆ

Well made, about 6 " diameter clamps

It's well made, with heavier than usual grips compared to other Monster clamps (and Craftsman vises) I own. Hook a pipe about 6 inches in diameter or an irregularly shaped object about that size. I haven't had a chance to put them through a real loosening test of rust related items but seeing how well made they are I expect them to work well. You might not have the leverage that a 6" wrench does, but sometimes you don't need all that strength - just sort of to get a decent grip on a big pipeโ€ฆ

Excellent grip; Very durable

Good set of chain wrenches. The handles are large and very comfortable to use, the chain is very strong and large enough to handle heavy work, and the locking mechanism allows my husband to do work alone that used to be done by two people (usually me, so I) were needed grateful for replacement). With two of these, he was able to increase his grip and stability by attaching one to each end of the pipe he was working on. He likes how solid they seem - he squeezed them pretty tight and they showed

Ideal for cutting and stapling irregular shapes

This is a great tool to have in your toolbox. It should actually be called "Tool" as it comes in a set of two, which is very useful, especially when tying long stacks of wood, for example. If you've ever tried to compress or stitch irregular shapes, you should know that it's not always easy. This tool lets you do just that, it fits almost any shape with some caveats. The only limitation is the size of the links, around 1 inch, as the links are not flexible. This shouldn't be a problem 99% ofโ€ฆ

Cons
  • Miscellaneous

I used to use them as a mechanic at work. We've always encountered tight pulleys and bearings that won't move. I haven't actually tested them, but they actually look better than the ones I've used at work. I didn't have anything like that at home, so when I saw her, of course, why not. I have some cheap belt clips that I've never had much luck with so I can see where they come in handy. I remember using a hammer and chisel (or screwdriver) to loosen the oil filter more than once. They will work
