The extra long handle is amazing for the 5'2 woman trying to shake all the snow off the roof of her crossover SUV ("Remove the snow before you drive" applies to short people and SUVs too). always a bit wider. I feel like my last broom was about a foot wide, but this one is pretty short so it takes a little longer to clear my car. All in all a reliable product. Make the broom wider if quality is not affected.
