This product works great and I would recommend it to owners of older Smart TVs, but I would also stress that you should consult your specific TV's owner's manual before purchasing to ensure you get the right wireless adapter to use. I bought the wrong brand or model of Belkin wireless adapter and learned that lesson the hard way. Also, a few caveats about using a wireless adapter as I had a problem with my Cisco E4200 router's interface and after having trouble connecting to the router with my wired and wireless devices realized it wasn't the adapter. Yes I had to replace my router and as a regular Cisco customer it was difficult and I can't tell you what the right choice was. I now have an ASUS RT-AC66U router and once plugged in and configured it works perfectly, allowing my multiple smart TVs to perform the necessary software updates and download apps/content for use with my smart TV. Again, be sure to read your product's user guide to verify the adapter and then, if possible, purchase the exact same adapter, or check the compatibility of an alternative adapter with your product via the product website or user guide.
