They just fit perfectly! - Filler

So I have a '94 Ford Ranger 3.0L 2WD STYLESIDE truck. Bought a few months ago and the previous owner warned me of a truck full of gas that the injector wouldn't shut off, tried anyway and lo and behold the injector shut off but only after a lot of gasoline splattered onto the ground. What an idiot, huh? Anyway, I researched it on YouTube. We wanted to buy a part here in Hawaii and they wanted over $110 and had to order it in California. They used to look for it at Revain, so they politely declined my offer at the local auto parts store. Revain was delivered promptly. Looked like the right part but didn't know until I installed it. Used a lift to lift the bed off this frame, took off the old one and wa-la the new one which fitted perfectly. Recommendations, there was an APDTY sticker on the little hose that goes to the tank. Remove it so it doesn't clog the fuel filter. It is ALSO recommended to separate the metal filler part of the assembly and install it in the filler hole before lowering the body, then put a hose on it and clamp it. If left assembled, it will be difficult to insert into the filler hole. I highly recommend this part. You can buy just the bulk of the tubing which will usually fail, but you can also get the entire assembly which will fit perfectly. If this fails within the next 12 months I will report it. But I'm very reliable, so I doubt it will happen any time soon. Look at the photo of the old one. No wonder gas escaped from it! Also slowly lift the crate and make sure you look for anything that might be hanging from you. I disconnected the wiring harness and wires to the license plate lights but there was a spring connected to the box that also connected to the e-brake wire. I'm glad I caught it before I grabbed the cable.
