I've been buying this bulb for my hermit crab tank for years. I liked them when I used them; However, they never lasted very long and I stopped using them. I chose this bulb because it mimicked moonlight and seemed to give off a decent amount of heat. It took about a month, which might seem like a long time, but I just didn't want to spend every month doing it. I decided to put a more powerful Fluke heater mat on the back of the tank and turn off the light at night. This setup is working fine for me now and my hermits seem happy.
