They work great. You raise the hood slightly.
They were easy to install. They seem to be working fine. The hardest part of the installation was removing the top brackets. They were factory fitted with blue Loctite. You will need a good metric wrench and a wrench tube extender. Don't forget to support the hood with a piece of wood cut to the right length. They work great.
