Spent two weeks trying to figure out how to use a cordless drill to drill a straight hole in the end of a 4 wheel drive car. Please note their installation videos never show a level above the post. If the hole in 4x4 isn't perfectly straight, the post will tilt, slightly six inches at the top. Your decision. use spacers. The sharp pipe that comes with the 4x4 is longer than the drill you should buy for the installation. The flange I was trying to install was sticking out two inches from the rack and was bent. I've spent a lot of money on straight hole drills and drill bits and those stupid rod anchors. Now I have to find the right solution. Don't waste your time and money with this cheap crap.
