Spent two weeks trying to figure out how to use a cordless drill to drill a straight hole in the end of a 4 wheel drive car. Please note their installation videos never show a level above the post. My project is half done (I installed 4 of them, 3 more are pending). I agree that setting up these things in 4X4 takes some work. However, they seem to be very durable once you learn how to install them. I recommend using a Forstner bit instead of a hole saw bit. The hole saw drill will leave a 4x4 plug that you'll either have to cut out, hollow out, or come back with a shovel. I let my wife talk me into building a 400 square foot deck instead of hiring someone else to do it. One of the things I didn't expect was the railing installation after I installed the decking. I built my deck out of Brazilian Tigerwood and the material is so dense that I had to pre-drill every hole before I could attach the screws.
