Double the size for this review. The first problem with the 2001 Chevy Malibu was an anti-theft and security issue. It was the password and the new key insert housing fixed that. No more waiting 10 minutes to restart your car. A few years after the replacement, occasional electrical problems began to appear. Please see what issues others have reported troubleshooting this article as ours were identical. This locking magnet ignition switch has eliminated all of these problems so far. Will be updated if something goes wrong. I experienced what another reviewer noticed: the two devices fit together snugly and the movement is smooth.
