If you want to buy this paper you know how much cotton paper costs. Heck, you might not like using Block after trying it. This device is great for the price. This is half the price of Arches blocks. I've noticed several people in 1 and 2 star reviews comparing this to Arches. this is really not a fair comparison. This paper is an absolute gem for the price! I bought a sample set from this company as a gift. After looking at the options I will say that the rough press doesn't seem as rough as most. This is roughly the same as cold press, academic or art classes. My Fabriano Fat Pad is MUCH rougher. In my opinion, and I've tried MANY types of paper, if there are no more quality issues in the future, this paper will stay in my paper boxes forever. I can't say enough. I think every artist has their own opinion on what suits them. Barring a warping issue or a sticking/tearing issue (and I don't mean accidents or trying to remove wet paper), there shouldn't be any complaints about a low rating. Look at the price. Did anyone really expect Canon or Arches level papers? For hobby and student work, this is unparalleled. You may one day start playing around and finish a picture worthy of a frame. This paper will work for that.
