Pretty decent block watercolor paper. I was skeptical at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's good. The only thing I had an issue with was how thin it was and it was a bit difficult to separate from the block. That was my only main problem. Another small downside was that if you don't use enough water and paint it can dry out quickly and then if you still paint the first layer it can kinda mess up the look especially if you want that first layer to be a is uniform. Compared to Canson XL and Strathmore 400/500, I can say that this paper pad from Baohong (Meeden) is much better in my opinion. The paper is beautiful and has a great cold print texture, I don't have a problem with heavy washable paper but that may be due to the intertwining of the pages. Do not order this product! These are fake cotton paper pills like crazy. This is NOT 100% cotton. I would give zero stars if I could just for that lie. This is a great paper, super smooth (high class hot pressing). I quickly drew a tree and then applied several layers of paint to the back of the paper. The paper holds up well to many layers as long as you don't pour too much water on it and work quickly (because it dries very quickly). It has a beautiful light ivory tone. It's definitely 100% cotton but with some issues. The first pluses are that it copes well with glazes, has good texture and gives a bright look to the paint. There was minimal fatigue. But the revision never got to the point where the paper could no longer be painted over and corrected. I think that would be fine for a more modern watercolor artist using multimedia and line art. BUT it has no dimensions. If the watercolor paint dries a little, it CANNOT be lifted. I've seen other reviews online
