I don't crochet but my wife knits. Here's what she has to say about this hook. I've wanted to try Tulip Etmio Grands for a long time. I like their smaller hook and I have the Etmios pink and gray. Large 10mm. I did not find it in 8mm. The hook was well packed in the box. The first thing you notice is that this hook is long, 7 1/2 inches. A 10mm cloverleaf is 6 1/4 inches long. I personally like the longer handle, it fits my hand well and the crochet style of the steak knife. I don't notice any noticeable difference in comfort between it and my Clover. There was a sticky coating but it washed off easily. how to crochet Very good, I tried it with Super Bulk yarn #6 80/20. It glided smoothly, without binding, without dragging. Will I buy another Tulip Grand? Yes, in 8mm. I don't crochet with thick yarn. Good value for money? I would like the price to be lowered a bit.
