Review on Windward: Master The Skies With This Strategy Board Game For 1-5 Players by Ray Reeltalk

Rules stink, games okay

Family and I love board games. We play multiple games a week. The board and pieces are fun and are interesting. The wind changing each turn affecting movement is neat. The rules are awful. On pretty much each turn I was having to reference the rules for explanations. Many things weren’t explained in the rules which caused me to google questions regarding the game. There weren’t a lot of answers online yet either so we kinda just made up rules as we went. What we ended up playing was just okay. The constant rule checks were a distraction and there’s not much to do on other players turns. The wind changing each round while fun, also keeps you from strategizing too much ahead of time so turns tended to take a little while. Will play it a few more times to see if it improves but will take a little bit of motivation to get there. We bought wingspan at the same time as this game and have been enjoying that much more.
