Product description states usable length is 1 inch but actual usable length is approximately 3/4 inch. If you have an application that is 1 inch wide, the thickness of the compressed spring will not allow the cam to have enough play to open on the other side of the application. The product description also states that the 1 inch size is outside of the cam pivot pin, which is ridiculous. The usable length should be the length of the pin between the inside edge of the spring when compressed and the inside edge of the cam when retracted.
