When I bought this OBD Break Out Box, I liked that all 16 pins are in the same pattern as the connector on the car. I wasn't looking for anything unusual and didn't need an expensive one. I just needed easy access to test CAN BUS. Well on my first car with a CAN BUS problem I connected the BOB and found an open circuit between pins 6 and 14. I unplugged the BOB and I had 120 ohms at the OBD connector on the car between pins 6 and 14. Then I checked the resistance between the wires on the instrument itself. I found that pin 6 is an open circuit as indicated on the connector and box. Ordered another one, same problem. I dug a little further and found that the pins on the box are connected BACK relative to their lettering.
