Review on πŸš— Enhance Automotive Diagnostics with OBD Detector Breakout Box for CAN Data Line Signal Analysis by Jason Rosekrans

The pins do not fit in the connector. Check your resistance as soon as you get it.

When I bought this OBD Break Out Box, I liked that all 16 pins are in the same pattern as the connector on the car. I wasn't looking for anything unusual and didn't need an expensive one. I just needed easy access to test CAN BUS. Well on my first car with a CAN BUS problem I connected the BOB and found an open circuit between pins 6 and 14. I unplugged the BOB and I had 120 ohms at the OBD connector on the car between pins 6 and 14. Then I checked the resistance between the wires on the instrument itself. I found that pin 6 is an open circuit as indicated on the connector and box. Ordered another one, same problem. I dug a little further and found that the pins on the box are connected BACK relative to their lettering.
