This is the first steamer I have ever bought. Read many reviews before buying. This one isn't huge, but bigger than I expected. It was easy to use. Unfortunately, I dropped the lid and the handle broke into several pieces. I was able to glue it back together and it was obviously my fault, but I was disappointed that the plastic handle was so brittle. It's easy to drop a very hot lid, I think everyone has - my other dish handles seem a bit more durable. At the same time, the lid itself did not crack or break. If I couldn't have glued the handle on, I'm not sure I could have continued to use the lid. So if you're not planning on dropping the lid, this is a near-perfect steamer! :-)
