works as advertised. I have a home office with a lot of paperwork and was always on the alert. This was sorted out immediately and this is no longer a painful grind. The instructions state that the purpose of this device is to destroy a large amount of paper, and it is. The item is not too big but heavy. Plastic bags are for the trash can and cutting oil. Directions are sufficient, but very short. It becomes noisy after long-term use, but calms down when oil is applied (a thread of oil into the paper slot), and works happily afterwards. Shreds staples and paper clips as needed. The paper feeder works well, but sometimes you need to flip it to clear a paper jam or manually feed a difficult section of paper (unusual paper types are heavy and shiny, torn, or flimsy and sticky).
