Glue them on! These work great!
They actually work great. Our challenge was to find custom sized curtains to block the sun through our Anderson casement windows. They're easy to cut (I used a thin-bladed jigsaw, but you can probably use a box cutter) and they're basically attached to the top of the window and can be raised or lowered with a string. They made it through the summer rental season with no problems and now appear to be surviving after some college students have taken advantage of the home. Even if they break or tear, the price doesn't change and an exchange makes sense.
