What a nightmare. Best of NAS
The instructions are confusing at best. It is recommended to download the phone app and use it to format the drive. So there is such an option. If you try to format it using a direct USB connection to your Mac, it won't format properly. The ability to mount a drive via SMB doesn't work, nor does the Mac app. Time to bring this piece of shit back.
