Review on πŸ“‚ Sauder Edge Water Lateral File in Chalked Chestnut Finish: Organize with Style! by Michelle Larson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I love my Sauder Home Office filing cabinet.

I've had it for about six months now. It's heavy but durable. There were no problems assembling the closet. There was nothing wrong with that. I have all my business and household files, extra carbon paper and a large printer on top. The style is very pleasing and mostly matches the Sauder bookshelf I bought around the same time. I've never had a problem with anything I've ever bought from Sauder. Knock on wood. Or chipboard in this case. My drawers are aligned, slide smoothly and pull out well. I can put a lot more into it than I originally thought. I suggest for durability to build it and leave it in place. Such chipboard is not designed for too frequent mixing. My file sliders work great. I bought about 3 boxes of file folders and still have plenty of room. Most people think solid wood is going into my office. Given the price, I'm happy with the style and durability of my closet. My only issue is that I thought most of the cabinet was made out of harder wood. I wouldn't buy it for a law firm where we have too many heavy files. It's geared more towards medium files. That's enough for other suitcases and small household items. For what I intended it works great. I bought it at full retail price.
