Everything worked as intended initially. It's sealed well, no CEL/MIL "loose gas cap". I also liked the fact that this particular lid only had to be opened with a key. You didn't have to lock it with a key, it locked itself when reinstalled. Now I'm taking the time to update this review. It took a little over 2 months so I gave it 2 stars. Using a key to unlock it and then trying to unlock it no longer works. In fact, he had a hard time twisting it to unlock it and just "JUMP" instead of unlocking it. So it is as if some internal mechanism has broken/failed. I tried removing the cap to add fuel, luckily I didn't wait until the tank was almost empty as I wasn't home, but I still had enough fuel to get home. I had to spend a little time working on it with some tools, trying to pry it off, etc., and eventually I was able to work enough to break the seal, unscrew the factory cap, and then put it back on. I usually tightened it with 3 clicks to avoid over tightening or damaging it in any way. Very disappointed.
