It readily handles both soft and hard vegetables or fruits, to my great satisfaction; it's a really strong appliance, and it's a joy to use it to make juice. I couldn't be happier with it. Easily disassembles with a single motion. Because the juicer's components are all of a high quality, there is no impression of fragility or lack of dependability; to the contrary, the appliance instills confidence and appears to be highly convincing. Unfortunately, not all juicers can brag of this capability (I know this from personal experience), but the auger is extremely durable and heavy, and it is not scared of tough fruits and vegetables. I am completely content with the acquisition, and my family and I make fresh juice on an almost daily basis to replenish our vitamin stores and express our gratitude that we decided to go with this particular make and model of juicer. In my opinion, the pricing is completely appropriate for the product.
