
To grind the bowl I use a Milwaukee 8 amp, 1/2" drill at 850 RPM and a lathe at 175-200 RPM with Mirka discs. For a male thread grinder you will also need a 5/8" 11 shank adapter. The upside is that the grind can be done quickly. The downside is there is so much dust on it that you MUST have good dust extraction and a full face respirator I use Trend Airshield Pro, which does the job perfectly.
