I bought these to keep in the car for when we go to restaurants that don't serve condiments, unless You ask about it. Our favorite restaurant gave us salt and pepper packets, which didn't quite work for us. We would have to ask for more and/or get too much. The extra waste of unused packaging seemed unnecessary. The solution for us was to put these shakers in the glove compartment and take them with us. We had no spills and the salt didn't stick together. I love it and restaurants appreciate it too.
