I bought this scanner to replace a similar scanner I bought many years ago. You can't beat the quality and reliability of ScanSnap products. My husband carries the scanner with him to work, in the field, wherever he goes. The latter took much longer than I expected based on its use. At least they now have a carrying case to help protect it, but a better scanner couldn't be wished for. It's easy to use, scans in very high quality, slower than a larger scanner, but it's a portable scanner after all. In general, I will not buy any other brand of scanner, especially a mobile one. Fujitsu ScanSnap scanners are A #1.
