Review on 🔌 Sabrent USB 3.0 4-Port High Powered Hub: Enhanced Connectivity with 4A Power Adapter – Reverse Compatible to USB 2.0 by Jeffrey Kue

I've seen some users having trouble with bad switches, but I figured negative reviewers would be far more motivated to write reviews than positive ones. However, one switch didn't work out of the box. Also, I was constantly losing power to the device and while troubleshooting I found that the power supply was not making good contact with the hub unless fully inserted (it resists full penetration and naturally pulls back a bit). ). Also, the lights don't come on, and I assume the actual USB data connection needs to be detected for this to work, rather than just glowing when the power button is on. Unfortunately I think I can live with it if all switched hubs work like this. I bought this to easily turn a small USB powered fan on and off without the on/off switch I need to cool my laptop. I don't connect it to my laptop's USB bus at all, although I might want to use it as a de facto data hub in the future. I don't want to connect the fan directly to the laptop as I'm already using all the USB ports and don't want to use the laptop's power. I know the switch issue seems to be a common problem, but I haven't heard that plugging in the power adapter is also an issue. So I'm thinking of looking for something better. I might stumble with this for a while until I find something because now I don't want to be fanless when it's hot. If Sabrent would like to send me a new working one before I send it back, that would be an option if the new one actually works fine. I'll see if I hear from you like the others here. ----------- NEW POST --- I have sent an email to the Store4PC support agent. and he got back to me the same day and said he would send me a new one and I didn't have to send the defective one back. I couldn't have hoped for better service. I hope the replacement is good. In any case, I'm very happy with Store4PC and I highly recommend them.
