Does what it's supposed to do. After looking at the distance from my original connection to where I wanted to install this extension, I wasn't sure if 4 feet would be enough, but it turned out to be enough. My first attempt at connecting the two without greasing involved disassembling the pivot on my truck so I could insert it from the top and rest it on the plywood. When I drilled a mounting hole in my truck and reattached the cable, this time with lube, it came loose with little effort. Checking with a voltmeter after installation worked well.
