Forget what you remember as the brand of tool referenced. IRWIN is quickly gaining popularity when looking for hand tools. While I don't feel like they have anywhere near enough tool selection to fully replace all of my hand tools, I think that's about to change. Having been innovators in the tool field for a very long time, they are still not the most popular brand. Maybe they should be. The original inventors of the iconic "pinch grip" are now owned by Stanely Black & Decker. Maybe that's what they need to get the recognition they deserve. Vice pliers are a great tool. VERY easy to use, reliable and well designed. I have them in almost all sizes: 6, 8, 10, 12 inches! As well as many other hand tools they make. Strippers, saws, fancy clips, angles, needle points, etc. You simply can't go wrong with IRWiN.
