I saw the Walthers derailleur system which is also compatible with tortoiseshell machines and was very excited. I hate soldering, have been trying for years and still hate it. When I saw how easy it is to hook up this system, I was blown away. I can now redo all my hand throws from the ground and expand my layout with this amazing kit. No problems installing motors and wiring. Tested all the controls and was thrilled to finally install the control panel. I used an 1/8" aperture, drew the configuration and literally followed Walter's video. Everything was installed and in place, and then boom! Every time someone pressed to switch lanes, the push button controllers popped up. My sons are looking forward to using the face controller for the new year of switching to lower levels, PoP! Another appears and disappointment descends on their faces. The video says a little glue. Yeah right. I had to tape these suction cups twice. Then take the spacer and stick the front side with model glue. It could have been a home run, but instead it turned into a royal pain, almost worse than soldering. He still has four more switches to connect in this way. I'm thinking of trying gorilla glue or construction cement.
