Good Not Great - Replacement Parts

Performance and Mileage: I installed this in 2 days. I've already noticed my MPG increased by 0.5mpg. I'm sure it will keep growing. The performance gain is minimal, but that's to be expected. I notice a bit more pressure in the line and definitely notice more traction when passing someone in the 40-60 mph range. There are 4 stars here. Noise: You can absolutely hear it in the cabin and it's loud. However, I only hear it above 3000 rpm. Well, my Grand Cherokee shifts to 3000 in Eco mode under normal driving conditions. If you step on it, you'll hear it. Sounds mean, but it's not at all like the V6. Sounds aggressive, not cheap. 5 stars here. Installation: Installation was easy except for one important point. The crankcase rod coming out of the intake manifold is completely in the wrong place. So wrong that you really can't use a factory pipe connector. You will need to purchase a small 1" hose or connector for it to work properly. I had an extra one from another air intake so I was lucky. But Specter really should provide one of them with this kit. Install gets 3 stars for that. Cost: 5 stars for $180. It is almost identical to the KN but costs half as much. The only difference I can tell is that the KN comes with the hose you need.
