This is very similar to what Lexus coated my LS460 battery posts with from the factory. I had to clean the battery posts after removing the battery cables and once everything was put back together I wanted to keep it looking as original as possible in terms of the factory finish. This material serves its purpose. It is easy to apply with a brush and easily covers the terminal/cable completely without affecting the battery contact/cable connection when making the connection after cleaning the battery terminal and cable interfaces. I love NOCO products and will definitely buy these again.
